2. Fitness Platform Integration (MyAthleteIQ)

MyAthleteIQ integrates with connected fitness platforms and wearable devices to retrieve your fitness and wellness data via authorized platform APIs. This integration is the foundation of our coaching engine.

You are always in control.

Access to your fitness data requires your explicit authorization via OAuth. You may revoke this access at any time through the settings of your connected fitness account. Revoking access immediately stops all future data retrieval.

2.2 How Fitness Data Is Processed

Fitness platform data is retrieved on-demand when you request a coaching analysis. Data is processed in-memory by our AI analysis pipeline. We do not transfer your raw fitness data to any advertising network, data broker, or unauthorized third party under any circumstances.

2.3 Data Retention

  • Analysis reports generated from your fitness data are stored securely and accessible only to the authenticated user who generated them.
  • Raw platform API responses are not permanently stored beyond the immediate processing session.
  • You may request deletion of all stored analysis data by contacting us.

2.4 API & Platform Compliance

Our integrations comply with the Developer Terms of Service of each connected fitness platform. We use only the data scopes necessary for the coaching features described in this policy.

2.5 Revoking Platform Access

To disconnect MyAthleteIQ from a connected fitness platform, navigate to the Connected Apps or Third-Party Access settings within your fitness platform account and revoke access to MyAthleteIQ.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide, operate, and improve our products and services
  • To generate personalized AI coaching insights, training plans, and performance analysis
  • To respond to support requests and user inquiries
  • To detect, prevent, and address technical issues and security threats
  • To send product-related communications (you may opt out at any time)
  • To comply with applicable legal obligations

We do not use your personal or fitness data for advertising targeting, data brokering, or any purpose beyond delivering the service you signed up for.

4. AI & Automated Processing

MyAthleteIQ uses artificial intelligence to analyze your training data and generate coaching outputs. This processing is automated and performed by a multi-agent AI system.

AI outputs are recommendations, not medical advice. They should not replace consultation with a qualified sports medicine professional for health decisions.

5. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell your personal data.

We may share limited information with trusted service providers under strict confidentiality agreements:

  • Cloud infrastructure providers — for hosting and data storage (e.g., Railway, Vercel, AWS)
  • AI model providers — to process coaching analysis requests (e.g., Anthropic, OpenAI)
  • Payment processors — for subscription billing (we do not store credit card numbers)
  • Analytics services — for aggregate, anonymized usage statistics

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services:

  • Account data — retained until you delete your account
  • Coaching analysis reports — retained indefinitely for your reference, unless you request deletion
  • Raw fitness platform API data — not retained beyond the processing session
  • Contact form submissions — retained for up to 12 months
  • Server logs — retained for up to 90 days for security and diagnostics

6A. Private Lab™ Philosophy

Your data is your private lab. We treat it that way.

MyAthleteIQ operates on a Private Lab™ philosophy: your training data, GPS route library, biometric baselines, and personal benchmarks exist to make you a better athlete — not to enrich an advertising network.

Specific guarantees under this philosophy:

  • GPS routes are strictly private. Your specific trail routes, ride segments, and activity GPS tracks are never made public, shared with third parties, or used to build any public database. Your home location, frequent training grounds, and route patterns are yours alone.
  • Biometric data is not sold. Heart rate, HRV, sleep quality, VO₂ Max estimates, power output, and related physiological metrics are processed only to generate coaching insights for you. They are not sold, licensed, or shared with insurers, employers, advertisers, or data brokers.
  • Personal benchmarks stay personal. Your FTP, LTHR, race times, and performance records are not aggregated into any public leaderboard or shared dataset without your explicit opt-in.
  • No third-party advertising profiling. We do not use fitness or health data for behavioral advertising targeting of any kind.

7. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security practices including:

  • HTTPS/TLS encryption for all data in transit
  • Encryption at rest for sensitive stored data (GPS activity data, biometrics, OAuth tokens)
  • Argon2 password hashing (plaintext passwords are never stored)
  • Fernet symmetric encryption for all connected platform credentials and API keys
  • Access controls limiting data access to authorized personnel only
  • Regular security reviews and dependency updates

8. Cookies & Analytics

Our website and products may use cookies to:

  • Maintain your authenticated session
  • Remember your preferences
  • Collect aggregate, anonymized analytics to improve performance

We do not use advertising cookies or sell cookie data to third parties.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights under applicable privacy laws:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Correction — request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Deletion — request deletion of your account and personal data
  • Portability — request your data in a machine-readable format
  • Objection — object to automated processing in certain circumstances
  • Withdraw Consent — withdraw previously given consent at any time

10. Children's Privacy

Our products are not directed to individuals under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.
